Chelle's Pizza

PIZZA!!!

By: Chelle

Pizza dough recipe
1 1/4 oz package dry yeast mixed with 1 & 1/4 cup of warm water set aside for 15 min or so. After it bubbles dump a 1/4 cup of olive oil in.

In a mixer combine 4&1/4 cup flour and 2 tsp salt. Mix on low speed, adding the yeast and oil mixture in a slow, steady stream, until a homogenous dough forms. The book then says to knead the dough on medium speed for 6 minutes, or until the dough is elastic. I hand knead my dough cause it's good for the soul. So you can pick whatever method you prefer.
Put the ball of dough in a well oiled bowl and set aside for one hour or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat your oven to 450* and put in a bakingstone if you have one. if not just throw it on a cookie sheet.
Divide the dough into 3 balls.
With my first ball I just put some sauce on it and threw it in the oven. After it was done I took it out and put it on a wire rack to cool while I made the second pizza.

My second pizza I put sauce, fresh mozzarella slices and some proscuitto on top. Baked it and sliced it up. Now back to pizza number 1.
After it cooled I put shredded lettuce, tomatoe slices and shredded mozerella on top and poured some italian dressing on the top. My roomates and I used to get salad pizza all the time when I lived in NY and I love it.
Now with the third ball of dough I made desert. Take the dough roll it out and brush melted butter on it. Sprinkle some brown sugar all over it. Take a small bowl and in it mix up some more sugar with some cinnamon and some apple cut into little chunks. Now throw the sugary apple chunks on top of the dough and roll it up like a burrito. Cut it into slices about 2 inches thick and set them on their ends in a greased pan. It's better if the pan is small so that they are touching. That way they swell up like rolls. After they have cooked, about 20 minutes or so let them cool down. Then mix up a cup of powdered sugar with a teeny bit of milk to make some icing. Drizzle it on top and there you have it. Here are pictures of the pizzas. My picture of the apple rolls didn't come out for some weird reason.
